After Healing Prayer

The best way to maintain the flow of God’s healing power is to meditate and act in a disciplined way which means to continue in harmony with God’s Word regardless of our personal situation. God’s Word is already true in heaven and changes earthly facts as we stand firm on God’s Word (promises).

– God’s healing promise has already been given (1 Peter 2:24 - who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness – by whose stripes you were healed).

Our trust (in God and His word as our healer) is the key that unlocks the door through which God’s healing power flows into our physical life experience. You have received your healing because God said so.

In order to receive and keep your healing, you must know that:

o Jesus paid the price with His blood as your substitute long ago.

o Thus, your healing is not based on whether or not you deserve to be healed. It is based on the fact that Jesus has paid the price in full for your sins.

o You must continue to confess/testify of your healing regardless of present symptoms and circumstances (Rev 12:7).

o Choose to believe the eternal truth in God’s word rather than the temporary facts reported by your bodily senses and/or human doctors who were also created by God (see Mk 11:24 – “Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.”)

o Do not be surprised when Satan brings doubts to your mind – through friends (you don’t look well) – through neighbors (remember Mrs. Jones – she had the same thing and died). Remember, Satan is a liar! (John 8:44 –“You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.”)

1. Your body may tell you over and over that I am still sick. In fact, the pain may continue for a while even though God’s healing process is already under way.

· Heb 6:18 - that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us.

· Num 23:19 - God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?

· James 4:7 - Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

1. Jesus finished His healing work (2000 years ago) at the cross. Discipline your mind to conform to the mind of Christ. Reject Satan’s errant suggestions. Abide only in the words of God regardless of what you or others may think.
Rom 12:2 – “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God”

2. Know that prayer in Jesus’ name always works for those who BELIEVE (reject all of the doubts Satan injects into your mind.

3. Refuse to accept any thought that does not agree with God’s word with regard to healing. Choose to be in continuing harmony with God and He will cause your life to reflect the promises in His word.

4. Continue to pray prayers of thanksgiving knowing that God’s promises and provision for your health are already true in His heavenly realm. As you continue to give thanks, the facts in your body will give way to the flow of His divine truth and you will be made whole and healthy in accord with God’s own timetable.

Be aware that God will use your illness and healing to change both you and those involved in your precious journey. You may be ready to be healed, but maybe one of your loved ones or friends needs a little more time. God’s plan extends far beyond our personal needs to all of His creation
